Olivia E. Puyana is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) with a Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in School Psychology and a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.), both from the University of Central Florida. She also holds Diplomate status with the American Board of School Neuropsychology and is bilingual (English/Spanish).

Dr. Puyana has over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adult learners (Pre-K through college) in a variety of settings, including private practice as well as public and private schools. During her more than 10 years within the public school system, Dr. Puyana specialized in providing consultation and training on, as well conducting, evidence-based/non-discriminatory evaluations of culturally and linguistically diverse learners. Within a private school setting, Dr. Puyana spent four years spear-heading a variety of student support services, including school-wide social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum implementation, instruction in executive functioning skills and mental health, crisis response procedure development and implementation, counseling groups, parent/caregiver trainings, and individualized case management for students with learning differences.

Dr. Puyana is passionate about the value of assessment in understanding a child’s individual profile. She has extensive experience in evaluating students with Specific Learning Disabilities, Giftedness, ADHD, Emotional/Behavioral Disorders, Intellectual Disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Ultimately, Dr. Puyana believes her role as a school psychologist is that of partner with the child, family, and school to help find a unique path for every student to achieve his/her/their best in both school and life and to truly thrive.
