Yvonne Doria, M. Ed. has her bachelor’s degrees in both theater and journalism from the University of Florida and her master’s in Education from New England College. Throughout her career, Yvonne worked in the public school setting in both the Northeast and Florida as a special education teacher, English teacher, and acting teacher.

As a special education teacher and learning specialist, Yvonne worked with many different service delivery models to provide remedial instruction in reading, writing, and math to students with various learning profiles in middle and high school. She is trained in Wilson and specializes in the remediation and intervention of Dyslexia, executive dysfunctions, and behavior. Yvonne is also trained in administering educational assessments and writing these up in a comprehensive evaluation report.

Yvonne’s experience with individuals with various emotional and behavioral disabilities has helped shape her instruction to look into the whole person and how that person learns best. Yvonne pays close attention as to how to leverage the person’s strengths and builds on these as the person learns. Yvonne understands the unique role emotional and social well-being have in the area of learning due to her extensive work with students in need of behavior intervention plans and functional behavior assessment to address social and emotional challenges.
