Mayte Cepeda Diaz, Ph.D

Florida Licensed Psychologist

 

Mayte Cepeda Díaz is a Florida Licensed Psychologist who received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico (PUCPR). She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, providing nonjudgmental and culturally sensitive services.

 

Mayte has over 12 years of clinical experience in various settings, including schools, the private sector, and non-profit organizations. She has worked with individuals, families, children, and adults coping with a variety of common concerns such as depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, interpersonal or social problems, dysfunctional behaviors, stress and relationships, and more chronic issues, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. Mayte enjoys working with people and is confident in her ability to help clients identify their strengths and help build the skills needed to reach their full potential and achieve their desired goals.

 

Mayte also brings experience as an educator, having worked as a teacher’s assistant and research professor to graduate students from Psychology and Vocation Rehabilitation Counseling programs in Puerto Rico. She has also conducted workshops and presentations for school-based staff and parents addressing parenting skills, behavioral and emotional challenges within the school-age population.

 

Finally, Mayte has also served as a vocational evaluator providing services to individuals with disabilities in identifying career interests, aptitudes, and skills and formulating short-term and long-term education and work/career goals.
